WEDNESDAY 22nd FEBRUARY – HARI MOYANG CELEBRATION
A cultural event not to be missed and it is the best time to visit the Orang Asli for their New Year “Hari Moyang” celebration. A day trip – 1.5 hours by bus directly to Carey Island to visit the “Mah Meri” tribe in Kg. Sg. Bumbun.
An excellent opportunity to watch the dancers perform their traditional dance “Tarian Sewang” accompained by a small group of musicians. The male dancers will wear their ceremonial masks and adorn clothes made from “Terap” tree bark and beautiful “Nipah” palm woven skirt.
The Mah Meri is known for their wood carving and “Nipah” frond weaving into intricate designs. This trip is organised by Ms Angie Ng of Heritage Travel, a knowledgeable tourist guide for Orang Asli culture and tradition.
Sea food lunch (halal) provided in nearby restaurant. Kindly notify at the time of booking if you are allergic to seafood, or if you are vegetarian or have any special dietary requirement.

Price for CAM Adult – RM 150.00 and non member RM 165.00
Price for CAM Child – RM 70.00 (6 – 11 years) and non member RM 85.00
Price includes coach transfer, services of an English speaking guide and seafood lunch.
Recommend to wear sport shoes due to muddy ground. Bring along cameras and lots of laughter!
Please bring along some food (halal), snacks and sweets to share with the locals. Also bring bring some coloured paper, crayons, balloons and old toys for the children. You can also donate old reading glasses, old clothings, shoes or household items etc
