About the Canadian Association of Malaysia

A bit of our history

The Canadian Association of Malaysia  (CAM), formerly known as the Canadian Women's Association (Persatuan Wanita-Wanita Canada), was formed in 1970 as an organization to support the needs of expatriate women living in Kuala Lumpur. Since then, Kuala Lumpur has evolved into a modern city and the needs of expats have changed with it. In 1994, CAM refocused its objectives towards the needs of the expatriate family as a whole rather than just the needs of expatriate women.

Objectives of our association

  • To help expatriate families adjust to life in Malaysia by providing support, networking and social activities

  • To help selected local charities by raising funds at our annual charity events (CAM has raised over RM 600,000 over the years)

The management of CAM

The Executive Committee of the Canadian Association of Malaysia consists of volunteer committee members who are elected at the Annual General Meeting, which is held in February each year. Without the support of those volunteers, we would not be able to accomplish the various goals we set for our organization.

Scheduled Executive Committee meetings are posted in our MEMBERS LOGIN Calendar of Events.

We welcome all volunteers - please do join us !
